Define love.

I was just having this thought, a question i brought forward to a couple of people recently.
What exactly is love?

I recieved answers like 'Its the feeling when you're willing to sacrifice anything for the person', 'Its about being happy with the person', 'Its about changing who you are, and giving in, just for the person', 'Its when you feel all nervous yet excited when you're with the person', 'Its about how much you love talking to the person, sharing everything and feeling a sense of happiness when you talk to the person', and lastly 'Its about you being happy when you see him/her happy, even if he/she is not yours'.
So what's your definition of love?

This question left me hanging in doubt.
The feeling of being so tired to be in love. The feeling of fulfiling the status. The feeling that maybe it was love before, but after all the effort need to keep it that way, love becomes a chore.

Why love? When you're sure to get hurt in the end?
